Its particularity: a “no sulfur added” cuvée in short maturation.
The terroir of Lieu dit Mousseau was selected during the tasting of the berries to determine the date of harvest. We could already feel the potential of these grapes for a wine rich in fruit, with fleshy tannins and a beautiful vivacity.
Sulfur is one of the antioxidants in wine and is naturally present in the grapes. Not adding sulphur requires us to always control the atmosphere around the grape juice and the wine. For example the inerting of the tanks and pipes using CO2, a natural gas produced by the alcoholic fermentation. From these processes came the idea to call this wine “Atmosphere”.
We are happy that you can now taste “Atmosphere”. Its color is a deep garnet. A nose of ripe currants and blueberries is already expressive. On the palate, it is a very nice balance between energetic and lively fruits and pleasant and round tannins.
For the safety of the conservation, we have chosen high quality technical corks, made of natural cork micro-particles.
“Atmosphere” will keep its best potential during 3 years.
Enjoy its smoothness and richness as an aperitif. Brilliant and complex, it will go well with a piece of beef, veal grilled over a wood fire, game in sauce, fruity cheeses (comté, ewe) and even a dessert with strawberries and dark chocolate.
