  Château Mercier 2000

The 2000 vintage will go down in our memories as an exception. First of all, it was the last of its century, and above all it reached a quality beyond our wildest dreams. On the palate, it reveals all its elegance, suppleness and pleasure.
Its colour, its texture of full-bodied, elegant tannins, accompanied by extremely ripe fruit, go to make up an extremely complex wine ideally suited for cellaring.
Gold Medal Concours des Vins d’Aquitaine à Bordeaux in 2002.

Château Mercier 1999
(sold out)
« It is undoubtedly the finest wine in the history of the estate » (Revue des Vins de France 06/2000). Intense, garnet-red colour. A very expressive nose with ripe, soft fruit, strawberry and fig. A round initial taste blossoming on the palate with a marked presence of extremely smooth tannins. A long finish. Its texture and the quality of its tannins promise a great future for this wine, already extremely palatable with lamb or poultry .
Silver Medal Concours Général Agricole de Paris in 2001.

  Château Mercier 1998
A superb ruby colour with powerful and fruity aromas, now blossoming into a complex bouquet. Great maturity on the nose and palate. Its silky tannins are still there, producing remarkable volume on the palate. Its robust texture compares well with the 1990 vintage. Give it 1 to 3 hours in a decanter for it to reveal all its charm .
Silver Medal Concours des Vins d'Aquitaine à Bordeaux in 2000.
